31st Annual Links to Literacy

Please join us for the 31st Annual Links to Literacy golf tournament and online auction to support literacy and educational programming at Hawaiʻi’s 51 public libraries.

Golf Tournament

We are excited to announce the 31st annual Links to Literacy golf tournament will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 now at Hoakalei Country Club. Designed by “The Big Easy” Ernie Els, this course will challenge the most skilled golfers, but still be enjoyable for recreational players.

Tournament Details

  • Monday, November 10th
  • Hoakalei Country Club
  • Check in beginning at 8:30 a.m. • Shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.
  • Three (3) Person Teams • Scramble Format

Tournament Highlights

  • Million Dollar Hole-in-One • 31 Players have a chance to drive for $1,000,000.00
  • Four $10,000 Hole-in-One Prize Holes on the course
  • Excellent Contests, Food & Beverages throughout the course
  • Short but ʻono banquet with team prizes following the day on the greens

The Links to Literacy online auction will take place around the tournament, beginning in November 2025.

Space

  • More than 75 volunteers give their time year-round to process 750,000+ donations and store 150+ pallets of books & media for our sales in our warehouse.
  • Our sales raise 50% of our revenues for Hawai‘iʻs 51 public libraries.
  • The 8,000 SF warehouse that we currently rent is bursting at the seams!
  • Industrial warehouse space in Honolulu is quickly disappearing and the time is now to secure a location for a stable future.

The Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i is a nonprofit organization whose primary objective is to maintain free public libraries in the State of Hawai‘i, to promote extension of library services throughout the State of Hawai‘i and to increase the facilities of the public library system of Hawai‘i by securing materials beyond the command of the ordinary library budget. Other objectives are to focus attention on libraries and to encourage and accept, by bequest or gift, donations of books, manuscripts, money, and other appropriate material that can enrich the cultural opportunities available to the people of Hawai‘i.
