Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i is please to provide grants for a variety of purposes. The grants are meant to further initiatives of the recipients, be it a group or an individual.
FLH gives Grants for Librarians and Grants for Affiliates.
Grants given to Librarians include monies to further programs and for additional materials for their library branch. Librarians may also apply for grants to further their own knowledge and skill sets. Grants are given to enable librarians to attend conferences, seminars, and other knowledge building workshops.
Additionally, FLH supports the libraries through their associated Friends group. FLH affiliate Friends groups may apply for “Affiliate-Matching Grants,” that would supplement funds provided through other sources to carry out Friends initiatives at their local library.
