The LOTY & EIS (Librarian Of The Year & Excellence In Service) Awards recognize Hawai‘i State Public Library System (HSPLS) Librarians and Employees who are outstanding staff members. These individuals are nominated by the public and then intervied and chosen by the FLH LOTY/EIS Committee. These awards are presented each February at the FLH Annual Meeting at the Hawai‘i State Library. Do you know an HSPLS staff member who deserves to be recognized?
The Mahalo Award is presented to a Hawai‘i State Legislator who has shown considerable support for the Hawai‘i State public libraries in the previous year and/or throughout their career. This award is presented often and is presented at the FLH “Legislative Breakfast.”
The FLH Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to at least one volunteer each year who has dedicated years of their time and energy to furthering the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i’s mission.
