Lahaina Public Library will close temporarily for an interior renovation project beginning Tuesday, August 14. The book drop will be locked and not accessible from 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 11 through the duration of the project. During this time, the Library's floor will be resurfaced, walls repainted, and new book shelves and circulation desk will be installed.
While Lahaina Public Library is closed, the Maui Bookmobile is scheduled to visit the Library on the following Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: August 31, September 14, 21, 28 and October 5.

Lahaina Public Library is tentatively scheduled to reopen in October 2012. Patrons may call the Library's answering machine at 662-3950 for recorded updates on the project. An announcement will be made when the reopening date is confirmed.
