The Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS), in partnership with the Microsoft Corporation, will become the nation’s first Microsoft IT Academy program available in a statewide public library system and provide technology training for all Hawaii’s library patrons.
The Hawaii State Public Library System will conduct a news conference to announce the launching of the HSPLS-Microsoft IT Academy, a comprehensive education program providing technical skills for mastering in-demand software, on Thursday, November 10 at 3 p.m. at the Hawaii State Library (478 South King Street).
Craig Mundie, Microsoft Chief Research and Strategy Officer; Donald Horner, Chairman of the Hawaii State Board of Education; Richard Burns, Hawaii State Librarian, and two local technology professionals who have benefited from the Microsoft IT Academy will participate in the news conference.
