Major Activities:
The Friends of the Hanapepe Public Library provides support to the Hanapepe Library through funding received from membership, donations, book sales, cards, bookmarks, and other craft sales. The Friends coordinate and present programs including lecture series, crafts, cultural demonstartions, cooking, and activies for children. Much of the funds raised come from the sale of Oshibana (Pressed Flower) cards and bookmarks made by Friends members. We assist with hospitality and the processing and shelving of materials at the library when needed.

The Friends of the Hanapēpē Public Library are highly skilled at Oshibana — the art of pressing flowers and their use in beautiful images for handmade cards, bookmarks and more. $3 each.

Proceeds of all sales by the Friends of the Hanapēpē Public Library are used to support, enhance and benefit the programs and services of the Hanapēpē Public Library.
