Whether you golf or not, here's your opportunity to support Hawai‘i's 51 public libraries through the Links to Literacy Golf Tournament. If your ball is the first in the hole, the library you designate with your donation will receive $500! At the 27th Annual Links to Literacy Golf Tournament on October 23, 2020, up to 1,800 golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter over a designated hole at the Kapolei Golf Club. For a donation of $10, you will be assigned a numbered ball and have a chance to win fabulous prizes! Each of the first five balls into the designated hole will win a prize: 1st ball into the hole will win $1,000, AND $500 to the HI public library of your choice 2nd will win a 50" LED TV, 3rd will win $250 Gift Certificate, 4th and 5th will win $100 Gift Certificates. Mahalo for your support of Hawai‘i's Public Libraries through Links to Literacy. Now in its 27th year, Links to Literacy has raised over $2.9 million for programming and enhancements for our Hawai‘i State Public Library System through Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. You will receive a confirmation email with your assigned number(s) prior to the tournament. The Ball Drop will take place on October 9, 2020 at Kapolei Golf Club. Winners will be contacted in the week of October 12 -16, 2020 to arrange for postage or collect their prize(s). You do not need to be present to win. There is no purchase necessary. There is an 1,800 ball limit due to the capacity of the helicopter. Those who do not wish to contribute for a ball may show up at the golf course at 8 a.m. on Oct. 9 to claim a ball and a chance to win. Subject to availability.
